National federation pathway
Join ISF as a country structure
A country should enter ISF with governance, events, officials and data responsibilities defined, even if it starts as an Official Representative before becoming a National Federation.
Governance package
- Responsible officers and decision route.
- Legal entity or organizing committee status.
- Statutes, rules or constitution in original language and English where available.
Operating base
- Active clubs, athletes, coaches and officials.
- Calendar of planned sanctioned events.
- Protocol, records and communication workflow.
Development plan
- One-year plan for competitions, referee education and national records.
- Public contact responsible for federation communication.
- Path from Official Representative to National Federation status.
Federation intake
National federation or official representative request
Countries can start with Official Representative status and move toward National Federation status when governance, events, officials and data reporting are ready.
Required request fields
- Country, city and responsible contact person.
- Legal entity or organizing committee status.
- Officers, active clubs, athletes, coaches and officials.
- Planned competition calendar and development plan.
- Existing statutes, rules or constitution in original language and English, if available.
Before sending
- Separate international ISF affiliation from local legal registration requirements.
- Prepare a one-year operating plan before requesting public recognition.
- Confirm who will maintain protocols, records and communication.
Routing and timing
- ISF reviews governance readiness and may start with a representative pathway.
- National Federation status requires a stable operating base, not only a contact person.
- Public country data should be updated when officers, contacts or calendar change.
The website form stores the request for secretariat review and the email action remains as a fallback channel. Do not send passport scans, medical documents or payment data unless the secretariat asks for them through an official route.
