Rules v5.2 sport definition
Weighted Calisthenics discipline data from Rules v5.2
Rules v5.2 define Weighted Calisthenics as a multi-event ISF format with muscle-up, pull-up, dip and barbell squat, separated from Classic and Multirep Streetlifting.
Rules v5.2 dated October 1, 2026 is summarized directly on this site, with full PDF editions, glossary, FAQ, categories, records and official workflow sections available as internal pages. The English text of the Rules prevails.
Core movements
- Muscle-Up.
- Pull-Up.
- Dip.
- Barbell Squat.
Main format
- The flagship international format is the four-lift contest.
- Best valid lifts count toward the final total.
- Final total may be expressed in kilograms or through ISF Points where the regulation provides it.
Muscle-Up rules
- Men perform Bar Muscle-Up by default.
- Women perform Ring Muscle-Up by default (Section 4.3.2); false grip is permitted on the rings.
- No later than 10 minutes before the planned start of attempts for their weight class, women may request Bar Muscle-Up instead of Ring Muscle-Up through the Secretary or Technical Controller.
Load and equipment
- Additional weight is attached to the belt with a non-elastic textile or synthetic strap for bar and dip movements, with its centre of gravity below knee level.
- Barbell Squat uses a barbell on the athlete’s back under the technical requirements for that exercise.
- Rings, squat rack, plates, kettlebells and platforms must meet ISF equipment specifications.
Attempts and categories
- Single-repetition movements use three attempts.
- Athletes compete by sex, age, bodyweight category and sport division.
- Single-lift events may be used where the Competition Regulations provide for them.
Discipline boundary
Weighted Calisthenics is a separate ISF competition direction, not a renamed streetlifting total.
