For competition organizers

ISF · v5.2

Use this preparation checklist alongside the full Rules v5.2 and the approved event regulations.

Before opening registration

  • Confirm ISF event status and publish regulations: disciplines, categories, division, anti-doping-control status, scoring, schedule, contacts and entry procedure (Sections 2–3).

Venue and equipment

  • Inspect all equipment against Section 6; identify the relevant approval evidence. Arrange platform safety, spotters, timers, signals and backup procedures.

Officials and secretariat

  • Appoint the Head Referee, platform panels and secretariat. International events require a Jury. Verify current qualifications and disclose conflicts of interest (Sections 8–9 and 11).

Weigh-in and attempts

  • Schedule a weigh-in window of at least 1.5 hours, within the Section 7.2 timing limits. Brief officials on preparation time, attempt changes, minimum increments and the record-weight exception.

Protocols and publication

  • Prepare start lists, weigh-in sheets, referee protocols and final results. Back up electronic results. Retain documents for at least 12 months; international events send a full copy to ISF (Section 9).

Record reporting

  • Verify the required referee categories, record threshold and video. National offices send record reports within 7 calendar days after the event (Section 10).
