Changes in Rules v5.2

Selected changes from v5.1 to v5.2 dated October 1, 2026. Read the full document before applying a rule.

Language and structure

  • English prevails when language editions differ. Former equipment Section 11 was removed as a duplicate; ethics and national federations are now Sections 11 and 12.

Formats and technique: Sections 2–6

  • Multirep loads are confirmed and attempts last 2 minutes. The 30° rule is removed; downward movement and rebound use a common rule. Squat depth follows the IPF standard. Ring Muscle-Up is included. Load attachment requires a textile or synthetic strap; wraps and sleeves are clarified.

Competition procedures: Sections 7–9

  • Weigh-in window is at least 1.5 hours. Attempt increments remain 1.25 kg, or 2.5 kg in squat; record weights may be outside those increments. A fourth attempt is Classic record-only, after a successful third attempt and with Jury approval. Official roles and appeal procedures are clarified.

Records and Points: Section 10

  • Minimum improvement is 0.5 kg in every lift, including squat, or 1 repetition in Multirep. Video is mandatory; reports are due within 7 calendar days. ISF Points uses six official Classic segments, AgeFactor 1.0 and no bodyweight bonus.
