Manufacturers and competition organizers may request an ISF Technical Committee review. The administrative terms below come from the published certification procedure, revision 1.1 of 10 June 2025; current technical compliance is assessed against Rules v5.2.
Review steps
- Submit a written application identifying the manufacturer, contact, equipment category and exact model.
- Provide technical descriptions and photographs, material and construction documents where available, and existing warranty or test reports.
- The Technical Committee may request a video demonstration, physical samples or further evidence. Obtain shipping instructions before sending samples.
- Review period: up to 30 working days under §3.3 of the published procedure. Request the expected decision date for your submission.
- The committee issues a decision: ISF-certified; conditionally admitted for national competitions only; or rejected. Submission and preliminary review do not constitute approval.
- Approved equipment is entered in the public register. Event inspection remains mandatory where required by Rules v5.2.
Validity, changes and fees
- The published procedure specifies two calendar years of licensing and a renewal request at least 30 days before expiry. Confirm the exact validity dates in the individual decision.
- Report changes to materials, construction or model identification to the Technical Committee and request confirmation of the approved scope before claiming approval for the changed product.
- The source procedure does not publish a fee schedule. Request any applicable fees, shipping terms and payment instructions from ISF before incurring costs; no amount or payment requirement is established by this page.
Approval claims and logo use — Section 5 of the procedure
- The wording “Approved by the International Streetlifting Federation (ISF)” is reserved for certified equipment. Logo use requires agreement and official notification from the Technical Committee and must follow the ISF brand guidelines.
- Keep claims within the approved model and scope. Sponsorship, another federation’s license and an application receipt do not establish ISF approval.
Source documents
Technical requirements follow Rules v5.2 dated 1 October 2026. The 2025 procedure contains older specifications, including chains and dip-bar dimensions; those specifications must not be used in place of v5.2. Approval by another federation does not establish ISF approval.
